Hashtag Holidays began as a neighbourhood travel desk in Faridabad’s NIT-1 Main Market, near the Hanuman Mandir, in 2012 — booking flights and hotels for families nearby and slowly building the hill-station circuits that became its specialism. In February 2022 the business became Hashtag Holidays Private Limited, with Sourabh Kumar and Vaishali Kumar as directors. The published catalogue today is five Sikkim and Darjeeling itineraries — Gangtok, Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, Lachung and the Yumthang Valley, Pelling, Darjeeling and the 4 AM Tiger Hill morning — each written day by day with its inclusion and exclusion ledger. 01Booking

Why is every package “price on request”?

Because the rate depends on the month, the hotel category and how many of you travel. Send the dates and party size on WhatsApp and you get a written per-person quote with the inclusion ledger — nothing is booked until you confirm with a 20% advance.

What is included in a Sikkim package?

Accommodation on double or twin sharing, the meal plan stated on the itinerary (CP — room and breakfast — on the published tours), an exclusive non-AC vehicle for transfers and sightseeing point to point, and all permit fees and hotel taxes as per the itinerary. Rates are valid for Indian nationals.

What is not included?

Air and train fare; personal expenses such as laundry, calls, tips, mineral water, drinks, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, the toy-train joy ride, the ropeway and porterage; extra sightseeing or vehicle use; entrance fees and guide charges; costs arising from landslides, road blocks or strikes; room-heater charges; insurance; 5% GST.

What is the cancellation policy?

The booking is confirmed with 20% of the total as advance. On cancellation the refund is made after the retention amount is deducted; the retention depends on how close to departure you cancel and what the hotels hold. We put the figures in writing with the quote.

02Sikkim

Is Tsomgo Lake guaranteed?

No. Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir are permit areas at 12,400–13,200 ft and close for snow, landslides or administrative reasons. If the road is shut on your day we provide alternate sightseeing — the itinerary says so, and we mean it.

What happens at 4 AM at Tiger Hill?

The vehicle leaves the Darjeeling hotel at about 4 AM for the sunrise point at 8,482 ft. Entry is subject to the availability of the permit token that morning. You come back to the hotel for breakfast, then the day tour starts at 8:30.

Is the vehicle at our disposal?

The vehicle is exclusive to your party but runs point to point as per the itinerary, not at disposal. For North Sikkim (Lachung) you travel with limited luggage and the rest stays at the Gangtok hotel.

When should we go?

March to June for rhododendrons and clear days (Yumthang blooms April–May); October to December for the sharpest mountain views and the best Tiger Hill mornings. The monsoon months, July to September, see road closures.

03Beyond Sikkim

Do you only do Sikkim and Darjeeling?

No — those are the published itineraries. Kashmir, Katra, Goa, Kerala, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai and Europe are built to order, and the office handles flights, hotels, visas, insurance, car hire, cruises and group travel for all of them.

How can we pay?

Online transfer or at the NIT-1 Market office — both are fine. Every payment is receipted and your invoice details are shared with the booking.
